PS4 support

As PS4 support comes to an end, a fan-favorite shooter might help breathe new life into the console, if a PSN leak is anything to go by. An entry for Marvel Rivals PS4 version has been spotted on Sony‘s servers, but there has been no official announcement of the port yet.

Popular shooter Marvel Rivals might support PS4 soon

We first saw Marvel Rivals PS4 leak a while ago, and although leaker PlayStation Game Size is very reliable, we didn’t make much of it at the time. It has now emerged that not only is an entry for the unannounced port live on PSN’s backend, but it’s also actively being worked on.

As reported by PlayStation Game Size, the PS4 version of Marvel Rivals was updated in the backend. This is backed up by website Orbis Patches, which pulls game update data directly from Sony’s servers. Orbis Patches also listed update 01.01 for Marvel Rivals on PS4, patch notes for which simply read, “Season 4 is coming!”

This has led to speculation that Marvel Rivals’ PS4 version will be shadow-dropped alongside the game’s Season 4, which is scheduled to go live on September 12.

If true, this is an interesting development at a time when major games are pulling the plug on PS4 versions.
