A brand-new PS5 shooter was quietly released on the PS Store with little fanfare, and it’s taking players by surprise. Players would be forgiven for not knowing what Metal Eden is because the game barely received any marketing, but those who pulled the trigger say that it’s the next hidden gem.
PS5 shooter Metal Eden is priced just right and is already 10% off for PS Plus users
We covered Metal Eden before when the game dropped a free demo on the PS Store. Those who did try the demo expressed concerns about its quality, and it looks like developer Reikon Games took all that feedback on board.
Players say that not only have Metal Eden’s demo issues been fixed, but the game is also running very well on the PS5 Pro. Add to that its price tag of $39.99, and it’s no surprise that Metal Eden is getting a positive reception.
PS Plus users are being offered a limited-time 10% discount on Metal Eden, reducing its price to just $35.99. However, PS Plus isn’t required to play as it’s a single-player game.
What really caught my attention was Polygon writer Ari Notis mentioning that Metal Eden scratches their Titanfall itch. As a huge fan of the Respawn franchise, that was enough to rope me in.
