Prime Video has officially pulled the brakes on Motorheads. The young adult racing drama, which premiered its 10-episode first season on May 20, will not be returning for a second lap at the streamer. The decision comes more than three months after its debut, despite a vocal fan base that gave the show a surprisingly strong afterlife on social media. The series gained popularity as a family-friendly teen drama with a coming-of-age feel. Its audience score sits at an impressive 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, a clear indication that those who did tune in were more than satisfied with what they got. However, for Amazon, critical approval and fan enthusiasm weren’t enough to keep the show going.
