September 12, Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas. For the Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford fight, that was the update everyone had. Till recently, that is. Seemingly, reports suggested and speculated about a change in date. Now, the latest news reports reveal the two pound-for-pound best boxers may square up in a different location altogether.
Perhaps, to halt the swirling rumors spiraling out of proportion, Turki Alalshikh, whose Riyadh Season and Dana White’s new boxing promotion are promoting the Canelo-Crawford showdown, decided to set the record straight. It didn’t take much time before many fans and followers started chiming in with their views and some suggestions.
Without mincing words, Turki Alalshikh said, “Will announce at the right time when and where the big fight Canello and Crawford and in which platform!” His tweet follows Ring Magazine’s earlier post where it mentioned that instead of September 12, the Canelo-Crawford fight could potentially take place on September 13.

Additionally, it stated, “The Riyadh Season PPV event could land in five potential locations across New York City, Los Angeles, or Las Vegas.“
