Following the revelation that Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) caused Jimmy King’s (Nick Miles) crash, Emmerdale’s Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches) made a difficult decision in tonight’s episode.
It was revealed recently that Vinny was driving his car while on the phone to Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) prior to Jimmy smashing through Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) and Dawn Taylor’s (Olivia Bromley) wedding marquee.
Because Vinny was distracted while speaking to Gabby, he failed to realise that his car had moved across the road.
In order to prevent himself from hitting Vinny, Jimmy swerved his car, went into a field, and collided with the wedding tent.
Jimmy died shortly after the crash, while Dawn lost her life later in hospital.
Vinny kept his involvement a secret for a few days, but his guilt eventually led him to confessing the truth to Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) and Joe.
To make this situation even worse, Vinny has also been charged after Nicola reported him to the police.
Vinny needs all the support he can get right now, but tonight’s episode of the ITV soap confirmed that he isn’t going to get any from his boyfriend, Lewis.
With Lewis and Nicola being best friends, there was no way he could be there for Vinny, who’s carelessness on the road is the reason Nicola’s life has been turned upside down.
At Dale View, Lewis cried as he told Vinny that they cannot be together. Vinny was devastated, but understood why Lewis was making this decision.
Later, Vinny broke down in Mandy Dingle’s (Lisa Riley) arms, terrified about what’s going to come next.
Amid the rumours that Bradley Johnson is leaving his role as Vinny Dingle, it looks like the character is going to get sentenced for dangerous driving.
Is a prison cell waiting for Vinny?
Or is another twist on the way?
