Police charge man with murder after two women found fatally stabbed in Nassau County

NASSAU COUNTY, Long Island (WABC) -- Police have charged a man with murder after he allegedly stabbed two women to death in Nassau County. Rony Yahir Alvarenga Rivera, 22, turned himself in to police and was taken into custody. The two women were stabbed to death at different locations. Early Friday morning, police responded to a 911 call from a Wendy's at 33 Austin Boulevard in North Long Beach. A 42-year-old woman had been stabbed outside the restaurant and was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe the deceased woman and their suspect were coworkers at that Wendy's.
