A new PlayStation State of Play has officially been announced, with Sony revealing when the new event will take place and what fans can expect.
When is the September 2025 PlayStation State of Play’s date and time?
The new PlayStation State of Play is set to take place tomorrow, September 24, 2025, and will happen at 5:00 p.m. EST. The event doesn’t have an exact time length, but Sony said that it will run for “35+ minutes,” and that fans can expect “reveals and news from PlayStation Studios and developers around the world.”
Most notably, though, is that Sony revealed we’ll see more of Saros, the upcoming new game from Returnal developers Housemarque. Little is known about the upcoming game outside of the fact that it will star actor Rahul Kohli as the protagonist. A brief teaser trailer for the game was shown off at PlayStation’s State of Play in February. The game is scheduled to release sometime in 2026, though, so more information should be coming.
Other than Saros, it’s unclear what else will be at the State of Play. PlayStation does have several games in development, though, so fans of any and all games will likely have something to look forward to.
For those looking to watch the State of Play, it’ll be broadcast live on both YouTube and Twitch.
