THE Pittsburgh Steelers’ opponent for the first ever NFL game in Ireland was finally confirmed Tuesday.
Pittsburgh will be the home team at Croke Park in Dublin for the historic occasion this fall.

And the league confirmed their opponent during an international games announcement Tuesday morning.
The Steelers will take on the Minnesota Vikings on September 28 at 9.30 am ET.
It comes after speculation that the Green Bay Packers were lined up to be the opponent.
But Aaron Rodgers’ decision on whether he’ll play for the Steelers or retire apparently had an impact.
The 41-year-old played almost two decades for the Packers and won the Super Bowl in 2010.
He was also a four-time MVP while at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
And a Steelers-Packers showdown with Rodgers under center against his old team would likely be played at Acrisure Stadium.
The full NFL schedule will be unveiled Wednesday night.
But some marquee fixtures have been confirmed in advance.
The entire slate of European games was announced Tuesday morning.
London, England will stage three games again in 2025.

The same venue hosts the New York Jets against the Denver Broncos the following week.
