Celebrity Big Brother fans have uncovered an absolutely ‘bonkers’, BDSM-themed ITV game show featuring Donna Preston as ‘The Mistress’.

Not only that, but Apocalypse Wow – set in a Torture Dome aka an outrageous secret underground club, part-BDSM dungeon and part Fight Club – was hosted by the one and only AJ Odudu with Love Island’s Chris Hughes as a contestant on the show.

Talk about an unconventional reunion.

If the premise was strange, the way the game actually works is even stranger, if you can believe it.

Each episode sees five celebrities, led by Gogglebox’s Scarlett Moffatt, enter ‘the dome’ to take on The Mistress’s terrifying Superhuman ‘Bosses’ such as Master Enormo (one of the world’s strongest men), The Horn Hunter (a back-flipping parkour master) and Hot Slippy Jesus (the UK’s no.1 gravy wrestler).

And most challenges feature a sexy twist, like wrestling in a… pool of lube.

Yes, really. Think of a fetish-filled Gladiators.

In the end, ‘the weakest of them is strapped inside a Human Piñata and beaten for cash’ – so just a normal Tuesday!

The show ran for two seasons from 2021 to 2022, with Donna finding particular glee in her domineering role.

‘I’ve always wanted to have ownership over these celebrities and have them as my servants, and with this role, the Mistress, I can do just that,’ she said at the time, dubbing the show ‘bizzare and bonkers’.

AJ added that the whole show was ‘quite a ride’. You don’t say…

Of course, fans who have just found out this show even exists can’t believe their eyes.

‘I’ve just found out that Donna played a dominatrix games master on a BDSM-themed celebrity Gladiators knock-off hosted by AJ on ITV2. Chris was also a contestant on it and challenges included wrestling in a pool of lube… like, what?’ Big Brother Super Fan wrote on X.

‘I wonder why they don’t talk about this on the show..’ iammtlt questioned about Donna and Chris’ lack of interaction in the latest Big Brother season.

And shawyer_connor declared: ‘This show was OTT, obnoxious, and vulgar (complimentary)’ about the former ITV series.

Viewers were just as bemused by the series when it was airing as well with X user Joshua calling it ‘truly something else’ and Jen saying it was like ‘Crystam Maze on meth’.

The screen star has had a few memorable moments in the house (Picture:Shutterstock for Big Brother)

Needless to say Donna, 38, has had some chaotic TV roles over the years, including a surprise stint on Coronation Street, a cameo in Netflix series The Sandman and even popped up in 2018 Bollywood movie Bhaijaan Elo Re.

And she’s had a few memorable moments in the latest ITV reality series including a chat with Danny Beard in which she had to explain no, she has ‘not pegged Chesney Hawkes’.

Tragically, we’ve not seen any chat between Chris and Donna bout their salacious past together but we can only hope it will come up sooner rather than later.

And in the meantime, you have two whole seasons of fun to sink your teeth into.

Apocalypse Wow is available to stream on ITVX. Celebrity Big Brother airs at 9pm on ITV tonight.
