Pedro Pascal fans convinced Leonardo DiCaprio has stolen his moustache

Where is Leonardo DiCaprio, and what have you done with him?

That was the burning question at last night’s Oscars after the Titanic actor appeared on the red carpet with a new moustache – while Pedro Pascal was mysteriously without his.

It was a big night for Leo, 51, as he eyed up the best actor Oscar for his performance in One Battle After Another, eventually losing out to Michael B Jordan, who won for his dual role in vampire horror Sinners.

However, perhaps his biggest moment was unveiling his new look on the red carpet, with him now sporting a trendy ‘tache.

Suspiciously, The Last of Us star Pedro, 50, seemed to have lost his trademark facial hair and sported a clean-shaven look.

It didn’t take long for fans to put two and two together to come up with the only possible explanation: Pedro donating his moustache to Leo, who underwent a transplant, of course.

That is according to X user @nathanrobii who joked: ‘Leonardo dicaprio goes in for his mustache transplant and when he came out he asked “wheres pedro pascal?” and the doctors said “who do you think gave you the mustache” [sic].’

Likewise, @odessaswife claimed: ‘They shaved of pedros mustache & put it on leo.’

A horrified @tatertotsconor declared: ‘Leo stole Pedro’s stache!!!’

It was only last year that Pedro addressed his beloved facial hair and revealed what it would take for him to shave it off.

‘I grow such s**t facial hair, but if I were to shave it all off… I really look very [awful]. Strongly disagree with a clean-shaven me.’

He added to The Hollywood Reporter: ‘In Wonder Woman 1984, I was so appalled by the way I look. I loved the movie, but I was so appalled by the way that I looked that I never have gone back unless it were completely necessary.’

Well, clearly he’s had a change of heart, much like Leo, who was previously said to have struggled with the fake moustache he wore in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

In 2019, Sian Grigg, the film’s make-up artist, told THR: ‘The moustache drove Leo mad, because I had to leave it really long and it always went in his mouth.’

Leo was no doubt hoping to scoop his second best actor Oscar, after taking home the trophy in 2016 for The Revenant. However, he couldn’t have looked happier for Jordan, who won the coveted award on Sunday night, as the two were seen sharing a deep hug towards the end of the night.
