Former Coronation Street star Paula Lane has spoken of her gratitude for the ITV soap.
The actress, 39, played Kylie Platt for six years, first appearing in August 2010.
Initial storylines saw her sell young son Max (then Harry McDermott) to sister Becky McDonald (Katherine Kelly), and then becoming engaged to David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd).
The two had a daughter together – Lily – and she cheated on him with his brother Nick (Ben Price).
Kylie eventually reconciled with David, though their relationship wasn’t to last, as she met a particularly gruesome end.
How did Kylie leave Coronation Street?
In a live episode broadcast to commemorate ITV’s 55th anniversary in 2015, viewers saw Kylie murder Max’s dad Callum (Sean Ward) with a wrench, when he attacked her sister-in-law Sarah (Tina O’Brien).

The women and David then buried his body under their house extension.
Months later, a car crash into the house unsettled the burial site, and Callum was found.
Fearful what this could mean for her family, Kylie convinced David to move to Barbados to live with Becky.
However, Callum’s vengeful mate was on the warpath.
She was stabbed by Clayton Hibbs (Callum Harrison) while trying to protect her friend Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell).
In the heartbreaking scenes after the fatal attack, viewers watched in shock as Kylie died in the arms of her beloved husband David.
Paula reflects on her cobbles stint – and that exit

‘An amazing chapter of my career,’ she wrote.
‘Always grateful for this role and the opportunities it brought me.
‘Thank you for the memories x’
