Released in just six New York and Los Angeles theaters, Friendship delivered the biggest debut for a limited release this year. The movie grossed over $451,000 in its first three days of release, delivering a per-theater average of $75,000. By comparison, Thunderbolts*' per-theater average for the weekend stood at $7,600.
