It was just her second game in the WNBA, but Paige Bueckers is already living up to the hype and ‘her standards’. Playing against the Seattle Storm, the Wings’ guard was determined to claim her first win. And starting hot, Bueckers began filling in every stat. She finished with 19 points, eight assists, five rebounds, two steals, and a block in the 84-99 loss against the Storm.
With the impressive statline, Paige Bueckers became only the second player in the league to score 20+ points with 10+ assists and 10+ rebounds in the opening two games combined. The only other two stars with similar feats were Candace Parker (2008) and Sabrina Ionescu (2020).
Shooting 7 of 14 from the field, Paige also netted a ranged shot from two attempts in the first half. Even though her side lost against Seattle, starting off the 2025 WNBA season with a 0-2 record, Bueckers offered a glimpse of the future with an impressive all-around performance.
