He’s an entertainment icon, delighting audiences with his cabaret shows and numerous talk show appearances (and his stint as a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race) but first and foremost, Isaac Mizrahi is a legendary fashion designer. And now, you can own one of his designs – and support a worthy cause.
Isaac Mizrahi is now selling pieces from his archive of one-of-a-kind samples produced in his atelier from 1987 – 2012 on a website devoted to the collection called ISAAC MIZRAHI ARCHIVE.
Each of the more than 8,000 pieces in the archive are one-of-a-kind samples from the designer’s ready-to-wear collection from the years 1987 – 2012. They are hand-embroidered, hand-sewn pieces that appeared on his runway, on the pages of fashion magazines, and on red carpets, featured on some of the most iconic figures in the world from those years.

In a release, Issac says, “I’m selling my archive so as to create a purpose for these beautiful things. I feel they will do better living in the world than in a storage space,” adding, “this is not about nostalgia, it’s more about giving these clothes a modern reason for being.”
Also available on the website are pieces from the designer’s secondary line and his menswear line. After the initial launch, the collection will continue to roll out new archive pieces every few weeks. Prices range from $300 to $7,000.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Pasadena Humane. The community-supported resource center has provided around-the-clock care to animals in and around the LA area affected directly by the recent wildfires.
Visit the ISAAC MIZRAHI ARCHIVE and follow the archive on Instagram to see more fashion finds.
