Outer Banks’ Final Season Sets Release Date In Netflix TV Show’s Season 5 Trailer

Netflix has dropped the first trailer and images for the final season of Outer Banks. The announcement is accompanied by an exciting development for fans of the show’s iconic music.

The upcoming season’s synopsis reads, “Season 5 finds the Pogues at their absolute breaking point following the tragic loss of JJ in Morocco. Stranded far from home and mourning the heart of their crew, they’ve lost the Blue Crown and continue to face a gauntlet of familiar threats. What release date does the Outer Banks Season 5 trailer set for the Netflix show?

Outer Banks Season 5 will premiere on August 20, 2026, and the trailer 5 is set to an alternate version of “Left Hand Free” by Alt J. The footage shows the group grieving the loss of JJ, followed by intriguing shots showing them in jail. The trailer also shows Cleo setting the Twinkie on fire.

Netflix also announced that fans can buy the show’s soundtrack on vinyl, which includes music from Seasons 1-4. The music for the 25-track vinyl soundtrack is composed by Fill Eisler, featuring scores like the “Outer Banks Main Theme”, “Pogue’s Theme”, “Endless Summer”, “Pogue’s Sunset”, and more. Netflix also revealed that the show has received over 200 million views on the service.
