ONTD Original: It’s MONSTA X 10th Anniversary! Top 10 Best MX Tracks

Hi Monbebes of ONTD! This is one day late, but Happy 10th Anniversary to one of the best K-Pop groups MONSTA X! They released NOW PROJECT Vol.1, which was a compilation of re-recorded version of their old songs as a celebration, plus live announcements etc. So I figured I'd make a post introducing my fave MX songs (which are also mostly... old songs lol)



Very brief introduction: MONSTA X is a 6-member boygroup consists of Shownu (leader), Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney and I.M. Former member Wonho left the group in October 2019. They debut with Trespass in May 14, 2015 and since then has given us many many bangers.

These are my top 10 MONSTA X tracks:

10. Trespass (from Trespass)
The one that started it all! This was pretty fun and catchy, and I also love One Love and Blue Moon in the EP.


9. CHAMPAGNE (from Phenomenon)
A Japanese release! This is an exclusive track to physical copy limited edition A only. They do have some good Japanese releases, like LIVIN' IT UP and SPOTLIGHT, but CHAMPAGNE is definitely my favourite. Composed by I.M.


8. Mirror (from Follow: Find You)
My favourite from this EP! Find you was another close choice. Follow: Find You was the last release as 7-member MX. Composed by Wonho.


7. Jealousy (from The Connect: Déjà Vu)
It's so catchy, and my gosh that choreography! Lost in the Dream was another fave from the same EP.


6. Love Killa (from Fatal Love)
Loooove the vibe. Hyungwon just looks so good as a sketchy business owner lmao. I also really like Last Carnival from the same album.


5. Shoot Out (from Take.1 Are You There?)
This was probably the one that fully converted me into a Monbebe. The rap part!


4. Miss You (from The Clan Part 2.5 Beautiful)
My BFF’s fave song and it became my fave too! The hook part is so catchy.


3. Dramarama (from The Code)
The song that introduced me to MX! Very cinematic vibe, both musically and virtually.


2. All In (from The Clan Part.1 Lost)
For some reason this song always gets me in the feels. It’s so emotional and I really like The Clan lore (and of course fics that spawn from it).


1. MOHAE (from Take.1 Are You There?)
I still can't get over how good this song is when I heard it live for the first time. Composed by I.M.

Ngl making this post was quite emotional. I've always been a casual K-Pop listener for years, but MX was the only group that had converted me into a stan. They will always have a special in my heart. Your turn now, ONTD! What are you fave songs/MVs? Fave memories? I still watch Monsta X-Ray (esp. S3) from time to time cause there were so many funny moments, and I’m so glad I got to see them live as seven members in June 2019. :’)
