Olivia Colman among Left-wing film stars boycotting Israeli cinema

Left-wing film stars including Olivia Colman have vowed to boycott Israeli cinema. More than 1,300 actors, producers and screenwriters signed an open letter accusing Israel of committing “genocide and apartheid against the Palestinian people”. Pledging not to work with Israel’s film industry, signatories including Tilda Swinton and Mark Ruffalo claim: “In this urgent moment of crisis, where many of our governments are enabling the carnage in Gaza, we must do everything we can to address complicity in that unrelenting horror.
