Oasis at MetLife: New York/New Jersey Concert Brings Manchester’s Legendary Rock Energy Across the Pond

Oasis returned to the New York Metropolitan area for an epic two-night event at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ on August 31 and September 1. It was the first time Liam and Noel Gallagher performed together on stage in the New York City area since December 17, 2008, at Madison Square Garden. It’s as if a 16-year hiatus didn’t exist. It felt like all 60,000 people were one — that every single person was the character in those songs and were experiencing in real-time what life in Manchester was like in the late 80’s, early 90’s. Drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, love, heartbreak, dreams and a big ‘ol “f*** you” to anyone not enjoying life.
