Reese Witherspoon has given a rare insight into Jennifer Aniston's relationship with ex-husband Brad Pitt, moments after the Friends star's new relationship was made public.
The Legally Blonde actress revealed that her good friend Aniston is not one to pine over love lost.
"She's not who people think she is - she's not holding onto old things," Witherspoon said during a chat with Dax Shepard on his podcast Armchair Expert.
"She's not pining for Brat Pitt," Shepard chimed in to which Witherspoon agreed.
The actress, producer and author continued to gush about her friend using her 50th birthday as an example of "what a wonderful person she is".
Witherspoon recalled Aniston's milestone birthday bash which took place in February 2019 and noted that people from all stages of her life were present, including former partners.
"People from her teenage years, people from her twenties, pepole who work in her home, every ex-husband, ex-boyfriend was there," Witherspoon said of the star-studded party which took place at the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles.

At the time it was reported that Brad Pitt was among the guests at the birthday bash, leaving many to reminsce on their relationship that captured hearts in the late 90s and early noughties.
Aniston and Pitt began dating in 1998 and debuted their relationship on the red carpet at the 1999 Emmy Awards.
They went on to get married in 2000 before separating in 2005 in a split that captured global headlines.

But despite the split, Aniston has remained on decent terms with Pitt something Witherspoon says is a testament to her character.
"She's always been really lovely and nurturing and warm and friendly and kind," Witherspoon continued.
Witherspoon's comments come moments after Aniston made her relationship with her new boyfriend Jim Curtis Instagram-official.
The actress shared a sweet black and white photograph of the pair hugging to her more than 44.6 million followers on Instagram and called him "my love".
She captioned her post, shared on her grid, "Happy birthday my love. Cherished ❤️."
