Despite the Indiana Fever’s efforts in Game 3 of the WNBA semifinals, they fell to the Las Vegas Aces. But while many would credit the 84-72 win by the Aces to A’ja Wilson, the Indiana Fever ain’t gonna do that. It’s because head coach Stephanie White couldn’t help but point to another impressive player on the floor!

As NaLyssa Smith, a former Fever player, posted 16 points on 8-of-13 shooting, along with four rebounds, a steal, and four blocks, following an 18-point performance in Game 2, White was fully impressed. Despite her physicality and aggressive play in the paint being a consistent problem for the Fever, she noted, “She’s been physical…She’s done a good job of really imposing her will and being physical in her matchup, attacking the paint, being aggressive.”

So, yes, she’s really been aggressive, and White’s acknowledgment of her dominance highlights the challenges Indy’s gotta face, especially with the absence of key players, including Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham. Now the team’s gotta adjust quickly if they hope to turn the series around.
