Nick Offerman andDennis Quaid have each featured in major projects already this year, but the duo is teaming up for a new crime thriller that just got its most exciting look yet. Quaid and Offerman will star alongside Jacob Tremblay (The Little Mermaid) in Sovereign, which is due in theaters on July 11, the same day as James Gunn’s Superman. Sovereign will debut at the Tribeca Film Festival on Sunday, and Collider is thrilled to partner with Briarcliff Entertainment to debut an exclusive clip from the film, which can be found below and shows Offerman's Jerry Kane preaching a harmful sermon loaded with propaganda. The movie was written and directed by Christian Swegal, who previously made his screenwriting debut with Proud Mary, the 2018 action thriller starring Taraji P. Henson and Neal McDonough.
