Patrick Mahomes throwing deep balls to Tyreek Hill could once again become a reality.
NFL owners are set to discuss a resolution that would allow players to compete at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, which will include flag football for the first time.
The proposal would limit each team to just one Olympian in an addition to a designated international player.
But with the Games set to run from July 14-30, the flag football schedule is unlikely to interfere with the NFL.
Mahomes and Hill are among players who have expressed interest in competing on the American flag-football team at the Olympics.
“I know there’s not, like, linemen blocking for you. I’ll be 31, 32 years old, so if I can still move around then, I’m going to try to get out there and throw the football around, maybe in LA,” Mahomes said in 2023.
