The Buffalo Bills got some bad news about two of their recently signed free agents.

Defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi and defensive end/linebacker Michael Hoecht will face six-game suspensions for violating the NFL’s PED policy, Bills general manager Brandon Beane told the media Friday, according to The Athletic’s Joe Buscaglia.

Hoecht, an Oakville, Ont., native, signed a three-year contract worth $21 million, while Ogunjobi joined the team on a one-year, $8.3-million deal.

According to Bills team reporter Maddy Glab, Beane added that the team was aware that Hoecht would face a suspension, but they did not know about Ogunjobi when they signed him. Beane admitted that both players would not have been signed had they known, but they will adjust and move forward.

Both Hoecht and Ogunjobi were brought in to beef up the defensive line and create more havoc in the pocket.

Hoecht, 27, joined Buffalo after four seasons with the Rams, where he racked up 13.5 sacks. The 30-year-old Ogunjobi spent eight years touring the AFC North, totalling 27.5 sacks and 79 quarterback hits.

Now, both players have to wait until Week 7 until they can make an impact on the field.
