New Star Trek Game Out Today Lets Players Chase Spock Through The Ages

The long-running Star Trek game has a new update launched today. It sends players on a time-bending chase through some of the most memorable eras in franchise history.

Arc Games and Cryptic Studios released Star Trek Online: Rediscovered for PC today. It’s the 37th season of the massive MMORPG. The latest season features multiple versions of Spock, including Ethan Peck as Lieutenant Spock and Piotr Michael as Captain Spock. It also incorporates original archival dialogue from late Leonard Nimoy as Commander Spock.

In this story, temporal disturbances cause key members of the Federation and Klingon Empire to disappear. That forces Captains to investigate the mystery by returning to 2409 to track down Lieutenant Miral Paris and Ambassador B’vat, triggering an epic chase through Star Trek history. Along the way, they confront Spock at different stages of his life and continue their quest to stop B’vat.

The Spock adventure is just the beginning of what Rediscovered has to offer

Star Trek Online: Rediscovered continues the remaster of the fan-favorite “The Ultimate Klingon” storyline, which began with Star Trek Online’s Undiscovered update. Time itself starts to fracture in this chapter.

Beyond the time-traveling story, it adds more gameplay content. A brand-new Space TFO titled “Know Thy Enemy” is also introduced, where players encounter B’vat’s brutal training simulations. It is available at Normal difficulty while it is part of the Rediscovered Event.

The Rediscovered Event adds another way to earn rewards. Players can make daily progress by completing “City of the Edge of Never (story mode),” “The Kuvah’Magh,” “Know Thy Enemy,” or Deep Space Encounters. They will unlock Neo-Type Cryonic Space Weaponry upon completing the required progress.

The season also adds two new Fleet-Mod starships for Federation Fleet Starbases. Apart from gameplay content, the update celebrates the 60th anniversary of the iconic franchise and nearly 17 years of Star Trek Online.
