A new note has been sent claiming to have footage of presenter Savannah Guthrie’s mum, Nancy, on the ‘day she died’.

The NBC presenter’s 84-year-old mother was taken earlier this year, and her whereabouts remain unknown, but kidnappers have alleged that she has died.

While Savannah has continued to issue pleas, an anonymous source has been contacting TMZ claiming to have information.

In the latest email, the person claims to know the identity of Nancy’s kidnappers, of which they say there are two.

They also state they have a video of ‘the main guy’ and Nancy on the day she allegedly died, something that is still unconfirmed by police.

‘I am not the idiot who recently called in a tip about her burial site in Mexico,’ the person added, with TMZ authenticating this as a previous source.

The sender then said: ‘I have a phone stashed in a secure location guaranteeing both the information it stores and the safety of the phone.

‘What it contains is my definition of delivering them on a silver platter, a short video of the main guy with Nancy the day that was probably her last, pictures of both involved, names and addresses and age.’

The sender is asking for one bitcoin in return for the location of the phone and the password.

TMZ has sent the email to the FBI, but also responded in a video, demanding one screenshot of Nancy as proof of the claim.

Days ago, the outlet reported it had offered to pay the singular bitcoin in an attempt to authenticate the legitimacy of the notes.

The first alleged ransom note demanded $4million in Bitcoin to be sent within a few days, before the price would rise to $6million (£3million to £4.5million, respectively).

The latest ransom note from Nancy’s kidnappers offered an ‘apology’ for her death and claimed her body could be delivered for $4m, but that note has also so far not been authenticated.

While discussing the latest twist in the heartbreaking story live on air, Savannah broke down in tears and begged viewers to help.

‘I wanted to just take the opportunity to ask people, really to beg people, to come forward. Somebody knows something,’ she said on the Today show.

Nancy was taken from her home months ago, with footage released showing a gloved and masked man in a balaclava approaching the house.

At 1.47am on February 1, the doorbell cam that captured his arrival is disconnected, and the rest of that morning is a mystery.
