While every network and streaming service experiences a sophomore slump, Netflix seems to be on the receiving end often as shows lose a huge chunk of their viewership between Seasons 1 and 2. The long wait between seasons has been blamed for shows disappearing from subscribers' consciousness. However, sometimes a series loses that original spark that made it interesting in the first place by either changing too much of the story or not changing much at all. When it premiered in 2025, Netflix's neo-Western was a streaming success and appeared high on streaming charts. Season 2 returned last week, but there doesn't seem to be the same level of interest and enthusiasm.
