Netflix came into the year riding hot off the final season of Stranger Things, and the platform has continued to deliver new hits month after month. Netflix didn’t take long to release its first big movie of the year with The Rip, the Miami-set crime thriller starring Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. Damon and Affleck have been working together for 30 years now, but their work on The Rip is some of the most exhilarating of their shared career. Netflix then dropped one of its top 10 biggest movies of all time in War Machine, the big-budget sci-fi thriller starring Alan Ritchson. Ritchson is best known for his role as Reacher in Prime Video’s Reacher series, which was recently renewed for Season 6 before production on Season 5 was complete.
