As someone who follows tennis, I've been irritated in recent years by the packaging around the sport's new "bright star," Carlos Alcaraz. Alcaraz is Spanish, turning 22 years old on Cinco de Mayo, and he's already won four major titles: two Wimbledon titles, a Roland Garros title and a Us Open title. He also won the silver medal at the Paris Olympics, losing to Novak Djokovic in the gold-medal match.
