Netflix Finally Launches Dialogue-Only Subtitles

The new final episodes of You revealed to viewers the ultimate fate of protagonist Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley), but the series also revealed something else. Netflix took the opportunity to use the popular thriller show to unveil a new option for subscribers who like to toggle on subtitles. Starting this month, the streamer will offer dialogue-only subtitles. The subtitle-only option eliminates closed caption cues like [music playing] or [phone rings].
