Netflix has just released an intimate new drama that features ten episodes about love, life and self-discovery.
Weeks after fans were swept up in a different crazy Korean drama, this new show, Our Unwritten Seoul, stars Park Bo-young (known for Strong Girl Bong-soon and Oh My Ghost) who portrays four distinct roles in one.
The synopsis explains that the plot ‘centres on twin sisters, Yu Mi-ji and Yu Mi-rae – identical in appearance yet opposite in personality and life paths.
‘After a complicated twist of fate, they swap identities, each sister navigating unfamiliar challenges to discover love and their true selves.’
For Yu Mi-ji, we meet a vivacious former sprinting prodigy whose promising athletic career was tragically cut short. On the other hand,Yu Mi-rae plays her decidedly more reserved sister.

As such Park must find the balance between four different roles, each twin sister and the personalities they assume when they switch places. All opposite former boy band star Park Jin-young.

The first two episodes out of ten have already come out, with new episodes each Saturday (so for those hoping to binge it all in one go, put a reminder in the diary for June 22).
However, fans are ‘hooked already’ and excited to see what happens next.
‘Park Boyoung is such a cutie, but she also does these heartfelt, pensive roles extraordinarily well. She’s the ultimate Byronic heroine! I can already tell this drama will be my new 2025 favourite,’ MultiNote wrote on Reddit.
‘I’m really liking this drama already! Strong first episode, really hooked me in and it portrays the reality of working, burnout and sacrificing for the family,’ moodylikeme echoed.
‘Another banger by Park Bo young. I genuinely love the type of scripts she’s been picking. I also love the whole cinematography of the show — beautiful,’ sleepdeprivedsince92 agreed.

‘Very strong first episode, wasn’t even planning on watching this but now I’m seated!!’ ohmrbelorit concluded.
‘Every year a show, be it kdrama of jdrama.always captures my attention because it does such mesmerising job at capturing a sense of emptiness in space, atmosphere, presence, feeling and eventually confiding in someone who can enter the place you’ve been stuck in,’ Anineteen declared.
‘This is one of those dramas where I wish they released all episodes at once. After watching just 1 episode, I’m thirsty for more and can’t wait to see what happens next,’ bathingapeman despaired.
In an interview with Variety one of the show’s stars, Ryu Kyung-soo shared his hopes for what viewers would take away.
‘I hope viewers find comfort through it. For anyone going through a hard time or feeling lost in deep darkness lately, I wish this show can help give you courage to heal and move forward,’ they said.
Park echoed: ‘Many times, I realized the words I said to others were also words I needed to hear myself. I believe viewers will understand why I say this as they watch the drama.’
The first two episodes of Our Unwritten Seoul are available to stream on Netflix. They release every Saturday.
