Across just four tracks, Nejvex pushes dubstep into darker, more technical territory, driven by intricate sound design.

Czech producer Nejvex has carved out a signature sound rooted in melodic dubstep and color bass, while showcasing an impressive versatility that extends well beyond the genre. Known for pairing euphoric melodies with gritty basslines, he has also explored house and drum and bass throughout his career.

With his latest release, DON’T BE MAD, Nejvex takes things in a darker, heavier direction. Out now via Gud Vibrations, the EP dives headfirst into hard-hitting dubstep, unleashing chaotic synths, explosive drops, and rapid-fire bass. Experience a new side of Nejvex as he pushes his sound into darker, more destructive territory.

The title track, “DON’T BE MAD,” has been teased throughout Nejvex’s live sets for the past year, generating intense anticipation around its evolving details, as well as its explosive first and second drops. It’s that familiar deep, emotional, melodic bass. Then there’s “BALOR,” a chaotic, hard-hitting tearout driven by metallic synths and aggressive riddim elements.

By teasing these tracks extensively, Nejvex has given audiences the chance to hear their evolution firsthand. The VIP of “EXPERT” and “KEEP IT REAL” take an even darker turn, packed with gritty textures, rumbling sub-bass, abrasive synths, and precisely placed samples. Together, the tracks mark a decisive shift away from Nejvex’s emotional dubstep roots and toward a heavier, more sinister side of his sound.

DON’T BE MAD sits at the intersection of what Nejvex does best: the soaring melodies of melodic dubstep and the relentless, bass-heavy aggression of tearout. Rather than choosing between the two, he fully embraces both sides of his sound, balancing euphoric atmosphere with punishing low end—and proving equally adept at both.

DON’T BE MAD is out now on Spotify and your preferred platform. Follow Nejvex on social media to see what he does next.
