Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker Gets Sage Naruto

The 2018 game Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker just got Naruto Uzumaki (Sage Mode) as a DLC character. Bandai Namco announced he is available following the update and shared a trailer. This follows Jiraya (Sage Mode), which launched in May 2026 and kicked off Season Pass 10. It also confirmed new Esoteric Scroll updates and that Kabuto Yakushi (Sage Mode) will show up in Fall 2026. 

This version of Naruto is accompanied by a number of other additions. You get the Frog Kumite (Attack Type) and Nature Energy: Concentration (Attack Type) Ninjutsu, Tailed Beast State: Nine Tails (Attack Type) Secret Technique, Naruto Outfit: Hokage Cloak costume for male and female characters, Naruto’s Wallet accessory, Naruto and Minato Hairstyles, a Naruto’s Scroll Weapon, and the Honorary Title: Hero. The new video shows him performing his Ninjutsu and Secret Technique.

Here’s the full Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker Sage Naruto trailer that shows him off, confirms the Esoteric Scroll Nine Tails’ Claw and Water Sword: Tobirama Senju updates, highlights 8th anniversary Celebratory Outfit: Multilayered costume, and teases an upcoming Summoning: Ninja Shark addition. At the very end, Kabuto Yakushi (Sage Mode) briefly appears. 

Kimimaro and Sage Jiraya both preceded him.

This is the second Bandai Namco Naruto game to get a free character update in August 2026. It also happened for Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections. As part of a free update, players can now use Nanashi Uchiha. That reveal also came with a promise of yet another character and more additions in 2026 and 2027. 

Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is available on the PS4, Xbox One and PC, and the free Naruto Uzumaki (Sage Mode) character is live for everyone with the game.
