The best phrase in sports: Game 7.

Facing elimination at home, the Denver Nuggets extended their playoff hopes by beating the Oklahoma City Thunder 119-107 in Game 6 on Thursday.

The Nuggets trailed 61-58 at halftime but outscored the Thunder by 15 in the back half to walk away with the win.

Leading the rally was none other than the duo of Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray. The two-time MVP finished with 29 points on 9-of-14 shooting to go with 14 rebounds and eight assists, while Kitchener, Ont.’s finest chipped in 25 points, eight rebounds and seven assists despite dealing with an illness heading into the night.

They weren’t the only ones to step up for Denver with its season on the line, however, as Christian Braun put up 23 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and three steals. Meanwhile, Julian Strawther scored a playoff career-high 15 points. And to call him unheralded before Thursday’s effort would be an understatement, considering he’d put up a combined 17 points through the Nuggets’ last seven post-season games this year.

On the other side, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander did everything he could to secure a first-career Conference Finals appearance, as the Hamilton, Ont. native finished with a game-high 32 points on 11-of-16 shooting to go with six rebounds.

He didn’t get much help, however, as non-SGA Thunder players combined to shoot 32-of-76 from the field. Notably, all-star Jalen Williams finished with just six points on 3-of-16 shooting, albeit with seven rebounds 10 assists and three steals. Chet Holmgren did his best to help with a 19-point, 11-rebound double-double.

Game 7 will take place on Sunday in OKC, with the winner set to meet the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals.

More to come.
