PlayStation‘s upcoming horror game has unveiled more details about its central characters ahead of its launch next year. Developed by PlayStation Studios’ Firesprite, the game introduces fans to the members of Dead True, a ghost-hunting team.
Until Dawn 2 has revealed its eight playable characters in the Dead True team. The developer has unveiled each member’s personality and relationships, letting fans get to know them better before stepping onto Akishima Island.
The team includes Owen Baines, Mina Aurellio, Nate Howard, Josie Nash, Cameron Darby, Izzy Jacobsen, Luke Kelly, and Reagan Wallace. Like the first game, Until Dawn 2 is a narrative-driven horror experience where player choices shape the story.
How Until Dawn 2’s Dead True team and relationships shape the story
The eight Dead True crew members have distinct personalities and relationships that shape the story, with player choices determining who survives. Owen Baines is the group’s most popular face, and his fame keeps him distant from the others. Owen’s co-host, Mina, struggles to match his success and hopes to connect directly with spirits.
Nate serves as the team’s director and has long been its anchor. Nate tries to keep the crew grounded despite tension following his breakup with Reagan Wallace. Wallace left film school to join Dead True, making their shared history a key part of the team’s relationships.
The roster also includes Josie Nash, the group’s scout who identifies locations for its investigations. Josie’s research on Akishima Island could prove useful during the team’s visit. Her boyfriend, Luke Kelly, also joins the trip, despite not having an official role in the crew. Luke is Cameron Darby’s best friend.
Cameron handles the show’s special effects. Cameron’s relationship with a married producer could quickly complicate things. Izzy is the newest member and wants to believe in the supernatural.
The eight characters travel to Akishima Island, where their relationships and personal histories shape their experiences.
Until Dawn launches on PS5 on January 28, 2027.
