Movement Detroit 2027 Early Access is Right Around the Corner

Here’s everything you need to know about securing early access to Movement Detroit 2027.

Movement Detroit is returning to the Motor City next year, with early access purchases launching Thursday, September 17, at 9am PT | 12pm ET. The festival will return to Hart Plaza from May 29–31, 2027, bringing thousands of electronic music fans together in the birthplace of techno for another Memorial Day weekend celebration.

Originally launched in 2000 as the Detroit Electronic Music Festival, the event was rebranded as Movement in 2003. Since then, the festival has become one of the world’s longest-running and most acclaimed electronic music events, continuing to celebrate Detroit’s rich techno legacy while shaping the genre’s future.

Celebrating 20 years under local promoter Paxahau‘s leadership, Movement has become a globally recognized destination for authentic electronic music, welcoming fans from around the world to Detroit’s iconic Hart Plaza each Memorial Day weekend. As the festival’s longtime producer, Paxahau has helped champion Detroit’s electronic music culture and establish Movement as a cornerstone of the global dance music community.

Summer may be winding down, but plans for Movement 2027 are already underway. A limited number of early access passes will go on sale Thursday, September 17 at 12pm ET, with wave 1 passes following once early access sells out. Fans can secure a GA 3-day pass for as little as $55 down or a VIP 3-Day Pass for $60 down, with the remaining balance split across seven additional payments.

Subscribers will receive an advance notification before the early access sale goes live, and fans can sign up for SMS alerts for an extra reminder.
