Mothers, reproductive rights group sue Oklahoma officials over abortion ban

OKLAHOMA CITY — Two Oklahoma mothers, who said they were forced to leave the state in order to terminate nonviable pregnancies, sued state leaders Wednesday, challenging the limits of the state’s abortion ban. Magon Hoffman and Sheena Hamlin each had to spend thousands of dollars to leave the state to receive abortion care after prenatal testing determined their pregnancies were nonviable or had fatal diagnoses, according to the lawsuit filed in Oklahoma County District Court.
