There are multiple casualties after a shooting at a Mormon church.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc was set ablaze as the gunman opened fire on the congregation about 50 miles north of Detroit.
Police said there is no ongoing threat to the public after the alleged shooter was found dead.
FOX 2 Detroit reports there are between six and eight victims following the shooting.
John James, a Republican representative for Michigan, said on social media that he was ‘horrified’ about the reports.

‘On this Sunday, a day meant for worship and peace, such violence is a grave evil,’ he added.
‘Our prayers are with the victims, their families, and the entire community.’
