Monster Hunter Outlanders Preview
For those who have grown to know and love Monster Hunter’s signature addictive gameplay loop (like us!), Monster Hunter Outlanders proudly sets out to adapt the same gameplay loop for mobile devices.
Team members behind Monster Hunter Outlanders grew up playing Monster Hunter Portable 3rd for the PlayStation Portable, so the cred is most certainly there!
However, things in Monster Hunter Outlanders have been optimized for mobile devices to ensure the same thrilling moments are properly captured on the go.
Setting out to preserve the authentic Monster Hunter experience, Monster Hunter Outlanders will feature clearer battle prompts, along with a flexible targeting system. Things have been designed to be intuitive, allowing players to turn danger to damage.
And danger will most certainly be present in Monster Hunter Outlanders. For one new Radiant Species provide even more aggressive and powerful forms of classic baddies. Coming toe-to-toe with a frenzied Radiant Rathalos might sound daunting, but these moments will force teamwork.
On that note, Monster Hunter Outlanders supports up to four players as they explore and hunt co-op style throughout Aesoland.
For those packing their bags for the Land of the Rising Sun, a playable demo of Monster Hunter Outlanders will make an appearance at the Tokyo Game Show. The entire team behind the title is listening, and feedback from the Monster Hunter Outlanders demo will be reflected in the full release.
TiMi Studio Group Producer Dong Huang said the following:
“Fans at Tokyo Game Show will be among the first to try the game, but this is just one aspect of the game’s many features.
With the first Closed Beta coming in November, we are currently working hard so that players can experience the game’s many appealing features. Please stay tuned for more details!”
Capcom Producer Genki Sunano added:
“I believe that this title, Monster Hunter Outlanderson which we are collaborating with TiMi Studio Group has great potential.
We’re thrilled for fans to jump in and experience the franchise in a new and exciting way.”
Providing an authentic Monster Hunter experience on mobile devices, Monster Hunter Outlanders is setting out to provide a fearsome hunt that is intuitive and addictive in equal measure.
As Dong Huang mentioned, a Closed Beta for Monster Hunter Outlanders has also been announced. Recruitment starts now, with a test scheduled to launch in November in select areas – all those interested can sign up for a chance to participate via its official website.
