A wild boar stood perfectly calm after breaking into a Florida home – but turned on beast mode when sheriff’s deputies came to evict it.

The large animal was captured on officers’ body camera footage inside the living room of the house in Lehigh Acres.

As the deputies approached, the black boar began charging at them several times.

‘Easy, easy,’ one of the deputies could be heard saying as the boar ran at him.

Boar-glar! Runaway boar charges cop after crashing into family home A cop raced to a suspected burglary - only to find the culprit was a wild boar. Shocked residents believe the beast - quickly dubbed the ?boar-glar? - smashed its way in through the back door. Footage shared by Lee County Sheriff?s Office shows the officer arriving to find glass doors shattered, with shards scattered across the floor, as reported by NeedToKnow. The hefty hog was then spotted standing in the living room, blocking the doorway. As the officer tried to investigate, the boar shuffled into another room - before the pair came face-to-snout. The deputy attempted to calm the animal, but it suddenly charged and bolted into the backyard. The hog-wild beast then circled back and ran at the officer again as he tried to wrangle it with a rope. But the slippery swine eventually managed to give cops the slip, darting into nearby woods. The bizarre break-in happened on Friday (5 September) in Lee County, Florida, US. ‘Hey bring me that rope.’

The deputy tried to lasso the boar but it escaped, and circled back at him, snorting and charging like a bull taking aim at a red-coloured target.

‘Whoa,’ the officer said.

The boar eventually took off in an eastward direction into the woods, evading capture.

Homeowner Edward Wells, 82, said the feral animal ‘busted through the back door’ and appeared to be 300 pounds.

‘There was this huge explosion. It was like a shotgun, only much louder,’ Wells told WFTX.

‘I thought, “Oh my God,” we’re being bombed.’

Wells added that the boar first attacked his dog, Bailey, before smashing through a sliding glass door. The boar hung out in his living room for roughly 40 minutes.
