MLB Stat Leaders Roundup: Judge, Turner capture batting crowns

After a wild Sunday to wrap the 2025 MLB season, a number of players have claimed their spot in history by leading their respective leagues in various statistical categories.

With one of the best MVP races we’ve seen in years unfolding in the American League, and Shohei Ohtani continuing to dominate on both sides of the ball, this year’s MLB leaderboards contain a mix of established stars and new faces.

Aaron Judge claimed his first career batting title following his latest excellent campaign, and Trea Turner led the National League in batting average for the second time in his career as the only NL qualified hitter to finish 2025 above .300.

On the pitching side, it was the year of the southpaw in the American League, with Garrett Crochet, Tarik Skubal and Max Fried sitting atop the Junior Circuit in most of the year-end stats. And in the NL, it was Paul Skenes who stole the show once again, finishing with a sub-2.00 ERA at just 23 years old.
