Pat McAfee is enjoying the best of two worlds, WWE and NFL! He often interviews the WWE superstars. The football fans know him for two things: his animated reactions on The Pat McAfee Show and being the friend of Aaron Rodgers. While he was curious about the Steelers not drafting Shedeur Sanders in the first round, he also surprised everyone by hosting the NFL on ESPN Show, where he interviewed different NFL analysts. The former NFL player also asked the former Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy about his views on the franchise number 1 pick, Oregon DL Tyler Booker.
While discussing this, the former head coach called it a good move, claiming that the team also needs protection. He said, “I love the pick. I’m telling you, no seriously, if you had asked me who we’d be picking, this is the way I think it goes.” But there was something else that stole the show.
Pat McAfee was passed a vape during the show. A fan made the video as he took it from the sides, hid it between his hands, before taking a puff. He then exhaled the smoke and also offered it to the head coach, who smiled briefly and made a denial gesture with his hands, refusing to take the vape. It was at this moment that he knew he had to move on.
Buddy sent me this video. Lol.

Mike McCarthy then left the show, understanding that Pat McAfee was high and could ask any question. It happened a few days back when Pat McAfee interviewed John Cena. The WWE superstar roasted him live on the air, saying, “Dude, you’re high as f— out there all the time.”
Apart from this, the head coach praised the franchise for giving him full support. He also spoke at length about his stint at America’s Team.
Mike McCarthy predicts playoff finish for the Cowboys
Pat McAfee asked the former head coach about his feelings towards his former team. He denied any ill feelings and talked about his love for the owner, Jerry Jones, and his family. He also praised the quarterback, Dak Prescott, and called him a natural leader. So, the mutual love is still there.
However, while talking about his love for the franchise and the future, he predicted the playoff finish for them in the coming season and said, “That’s going to be a good football team this year. I do, I think there’ll be 10-plus wins playoff caliber football. I think Brian (Schottenheimer) will do an excellent job. He’s prepared for this, he’s been there three years, he knows the dos and don’ts, and he’ll do it his way.” The message is obvious.
The Cowboys are once again aiming for the playoffs—but that’s nothing new. Fans want the trophy, not just the consolation of a postseason spot. Meanwhile, Jerry Jones sits comfortably, a smirk on his face. It’ll be interesting to see how the next two days of the draft unfold. All eyes are on Green Bay!
