HOLLYWOOD actor Mickey Rourke revealed his diva demands ahead of entering the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Former boxer Mickey, 71, who is rumoured to be receiving a hefty paycheck for his appearance, insisted that Big Brother provide him with a private gym setup in the house before he agreed to sign on.

He told The Sun in his only interview before entering the house: “I’ve asked for a certain amount of gym equipment, a couple of benches and some weights and some sit up benches and stuff.”

While he’s expected to bunk up in a cramped double bed with another housemate, it looks like Mickey’s luxury gym request was granted.

Elsewhere, viewers were initially left divided over Mickey’s casting, with some branding him “creepy” – but fan sentiment appears to be shifting.

Since his entry into the show, many have warmed to his candidness and quirks, leading to a surprising U-turn in public opinion.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one tweeted: “Mickey Rourke is actually quite likeable.”

A second said: “I’m catching up on tonight’s ep but the way Mickey sat and spoke to Trisha, heard her story and said he will keep her in his prayers then JoJo picking the personal butler service for her was all really beautiful. Trisha you are an inspiration.”

Someone else said: “I did not expect Mickey Rourke to be the most down to earth person in the house mentioning Daley’s actual achievements instead of being impressed about 1M instagram followers.”

Mickey initially sparked a backlash during Monday’s launch show for ‘grabbing’ host AJ Odudu as he walked into the house.

He told her she was wearing a “nice outfit” and looked her up and down.

He then grabbed her for a twirl, causing her to bump into him.

Many viewers were not impressed.

Writing on social media, one said: “Can we all agree we’re voting Mickey out this week.”

Another viewer also predicted the American’s early exit, writing: “Mickey Rourke will be out of the house first, mark my words.”
