Hot off his thunderous debut as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and his subsequent appearance in the $1.5 billion-grossing The Avengers, Chris Hemsworth attempted once again to carry a movie on his shoulders in 2015. His previous two attempts, Rush and Red Dawn, were both underperformers. But director Michael Mann's Blackhatemerged as a bona fide trainwreck. The movie was produced on a reported budget of $70 million, but it made less than $20 million worldwide. Of this total haul, only $8 million came from domestic theaters. Blackhat will soon be made available to stream on Prime Video, where it will no doubt increase its cult following.
