Marcus Jordan and his substance issue are in the limelight once again—this time for a piece of positive news. It was back on Feb. 4, when Michael Jordan’s youngest son was put behind bars after he tried speeding away from cops. The police charged him with three different charges, which he pleaded not guilty to. A month later, he acknowledged needing help to overcome his substance abuse issue. Now it seems the steps he has taken are actually working.

When he was arrested, one of the things that he said to the officers was, “Bro, I’m Marcus Jordan. I’m Michael Jordan’s son! I’m not doing anything wrong, I’m just trying to get home. And I made a wrong turn. OK?” Plus, the reports of him making loud requests to play Mariah Carey when locked up did not do any favors to his reputation. However, he did correct the course as the People reported the 34-year-old “acknowledges that he needs help to overcome the challenges of his alcohol/substance use and is amenable to treatment.

Part of the filing also suggested that the former UCF alum wants to dedicate to being “responsible, dr-g-free, and productive member of the community.” The report also mentioned, “His participation in the Pre-Trial Substance Abuse Education and Treatment Intervention Program will not only benefit him personally but also serve the community by reducing the likelihood of future offenses.” Now, his latest story indicates his working towards the goal.

After uploading stories about his golfing adventure at Four Seasons Resort Orlando, Marcus Jordan wrote “40 days sober & counting… 🆙🔙🔜.” This comes two months after the report from People, which shared the court filing update from Jordan’s attorney. He shared the news with his 173k Instagram followers, also added two stickers of ‘loading bar’ and ‘in progress’ again, signifying his action of getting better.

More details about Marcus Jordan’s case

At 1:14 am on February 4, Marcus Jordan ended up on the wrong side of the track literally and figuratively. Police reported that his Lamborghini Urus was stuck on the railroad tracks in Maitland, Florida, roughly 11 miles north of Orlando, after speeding away from cops.

There were three charges levied on the 34-year-old, but one of those charges changed. TMZ Sports made the revelation, “The white substance cops found in Marcus Jordan’s pocket during his DUI arrest was determined to be ket–ine — NOT c–aine.”

The 3 previous charges were DUI, c–aine possession, and also for resisting arrest. So the second charge has changed to possession of ket–ine. Previously, the second son of MJ had to post a bail of $4,000 to get out of the Orange County, Florida facility. As per the law in Florida, c–aine is a Schedule II dr-g, while ket–ine is part of Schedule III. The potential charges for the latter are far lower than Schedule I or Schedule II. His involvement with the white substance also dates back to August of last year.

He was out with his friends in France, and there was a picture of him sniffing a white powder. However, there was no proof of Marcus Jordan using any substance. Even his ex-Larsa Pippen, denied any knowledge of Marcus’ issues. But the case in February, and later the court filings, revealed his earlier issues.
