The last time we saw Michael Fassbender in an R-rated alien sci-fi movie was in Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant in 2017. The movie ended on a divisive cliffhanger, but years later, fans will hopefully see the story continue as Scott has confirmed that he's planning on returning to the sci-fi franchise he helped launch in 1979. An Alien: Covenantfollow-up is officially in the works, with Fassbender's David set to return as the story explores his plans to build a new world should Scott's sequel come to life. However, before the German-Irish actor returns to the Alien franchise, he's making his first return to the world of alien sci-fi in another upcoming project.
