Mayu and Mio Amakura can be together on shelves in people’s homes next year with a Kotobukiya Oshi Works Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake figure set of the twin sisters together. It will come to Japan first in May 2027 and cost 18,000 yen. Then, a month later, it will appear in North America in June 2027 for $149.99. Unlike things like the Fatal Frame Miku Hinasaki Nendoroid, this will be a static one.
The twin sisters are shown sitting next to each other on rocks, just like in the key art, and sit at about 6 inches tall. (Kotobukiya shared a photo with an outline of a 16oz pop bottle for scale.) Each character is a separate figure posed on her own stone that can be positioned with the sibling. Each character is wearing the outfit she did in the remake. The Camera Obscura comes with them, as does a Crimson Butterfly that responds to black light.
Here’s how that looks. In two of the Fatal Frame 2 Remake figure set photos, we can see Mayu and Mio sitting separately to offer a sense of context for how each of them will look. The images also clarify that the camera and butterfly are separate parts that can be arranged as desired when the figure set is displayed on a shelf, and one of the pictures shows the blacklight effect on the butterfly.
Kotobukiya will release the Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake Oshi Works figure set of Mayu and Mio Amakura in Japan in May 2027 and worldwide in June 2027. The original game is on the PS2 and Xbox, and the remake is on the Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
