Valve's Steam Machine is just the latest victim of the ongoing component crisis, which has seen the price of RAM and other computing parts rise exorbitantly. The mini gaming PC's unfortunately high price has already led to cheaper clones popping up online, but the RAM shortage is indiscriminate: PS5 prices have risen; the Switch 2 price increase continues to spread; and Xbox consoles are more expensive as well. A new lawsuit alleges RAM manufacturers have colluded to profit even more from the advantageous market.
