Massive Blow to University of Cal as Another Gymnastics Star Joins Clemson Tigers Days After Coaching Shake-Up

It started with Justin Howell and Elisabeth Randall-Howell’s exit from the coaching responsibility of the University of California’s gymnastics program. The couple left the program on May 12 and joined the Clemson Tigers gymnastics program. Seismic shift? You can say that Justin managed the reins of the program when it was in the middle of the tide. And Elisabeth made the way smooth after joining the program back in 2018, taking up the coaching role. However, with their shift to Clemson last weekend, Sydney Snyder decommitted from Cal gymnastics to join the Clemson Tigers. And now, in a 4-day gap, another name is shifting to Clemson. 

On May 16, Morgan Reihl shared a detailed post on Instagram announcing her commitment to the Clemson Tigers, leaving Cal gymnastics behind. In her post, the back-to-back national beam champion wrote, “I am excited to announce that I am now committed to Clemson University on a full athletic scholarship!!”
