Marvel Zombies Season 2 Already Planned With New Characters

Ahead of the release of Marvel Zombies, Brad Winderbaum, who serves as the head of Marvel Television, has revealed that the team behind the animated miniseries has already outlined several aspects of a potential Season 2. In a recent interview, the long-term Marvel Studios executive remarked that he intends to bring a number of new characters to the small screen, provided that a second season of Marvel Zombies is greenlit.

Brad Winderbaum says they already have ‘a ton of material’ for Marvel Zombies Season 2

While speaking with Nerdist, Brad Winderbaum teased that viewers will be able to see multiple new characters added to Marvel Zombies if Season 2 happens.

“There are some characters I’m excited to explore. And certainly, we could do that with Marvel Zombies… There’s still plenty [of characters] to use. There are a number of them,” the veteran executive producer said.

He then divulged that the team behind Marvel Zombies had initially planned a wider roster for the show’s debut chapter, only to cut it short later on. “The story originally was much, much larger, and there was no room to put them all in. But we have certain things figured out for what other individuals are doing in other places that were going to factor into the story. But we didn’t want to shortchange their stories by barely acknowledging them, and then having them suddenly show up. So we thought, ‘Let’s just carve them out,'” Winderbaum explained.

According to Winderbaum’s comments, it is still possible for the ousted characters to make their Marvel Zombies debut if Season 2 materializes. The Ironheart EP stated, “We really hope that if we do get a chance to do another one, well, we’ve got a ton of material we’re ready to do as the next thing. So yeah, there are other characters that did not show up in this that we were dying to have. Hopefully, they have their moment in the next one if we get it.”

If Marvel Zombies Season 2 does happen, fans will also be able to see the continued arcs of several unique characters, like Blade-Moon Knight, who is on track to make his MCU debut with Season 1 on September 24, 2025.
