It took Wolverine almost a full half century to don a costume he should have worn early in his career. At first glance, Wolverine seems like the kind of character who should have outgrown superhero costumes decades ago. Logan is a gruff and deeply practical hero whose personality seems more compatible with leather jackets and flannel shirts than with brightly colored spandex. However, Wolverine is also a member of communities larger than himself. The X-Men, the Avengers, and the broader superhero community prevent Logan from falling into an endless cycle of cynicism.
